Happy Birthday Wishes

Yesterday, I decided to straighten up my stamp room a bit. I guess I got a little bit carried away because I didn't get a chance to stamp until late afternoon. This is the card I came up with, it's always nice to have a birthday card or two on hand...

I attempted a regular 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card but when I laid it all out, I didn't like it, so I cut it down to 4-1/4" x 4-1/4", as usual. The card base is Purely Pomegranate. I scalloped the right edge with the Corner Rounder punch and then punched holes with the Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. The other cardstock colors I used are Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black, and Whisper White. For the stamp set, I used Fun & Fast Notes (what a cute set, it makes such quick cards!). I stamped the image with Jet Black Staz On ink and used my Aquapainter to watercolor the image using the same colored ink as the cardstock I used. For some texture, I stamped the Groovy Guava cardstock with the Linen Background stamp inked up with Groovy Guava. I finshed the card off by using the Ticket Corner punch on the Whisper White and Basic Black layers. Then, I added 4 black Vintage Brads in each corner and tied a piece of Black Gingham Ribbon around the Groovy Guava layer.

Thanks for stopping by...have a wonderful day!!

Girl...you stamped! I am so proud of you making a square card. It's hard to go back once you are hooked on those, right?
LOVE what you did on this card. LOVE the scallop edge, love the brads, the ticket corner punched corners and your coloring! You rock!
See you in a bit! Hugs and smiles
