I'm sure many have wondered where I've been for the last 2 years (yes, sadly, Spring of 2009 was my last blog post). Well, my then 1 year old daughter became very mobile and to be completely honest I didn't want to miss a single thing. She is now 3 and a half years old, my does time fly! {Sniffle, sniffle} And, we have also welcomed a sweet baby boy to our family now making it a family of 4. Jonathan was born a couple months ago in April, on the same exact day that I was announced as a PaperCrafts Magazine Stamping Royalty 2011 winner. Yes, I achieved a huge personal goal to have one of my cards published along with the honor of being selected as a winner of a VERY large (if not the largest out there) craft contest! Oh, and I most definitely cannot forget to mention the AMAZING prize package I won. Yes, pictures and a post to follow soon :)
So, needless to say I took a very LONG break from blogging while I focused on my #1 job of mom and wife. During that time I stamped, remained an active Stampin' Up demonstrator, and held monthly workshops for my customers. However I didn't do a whole lot of photographing, uploading, blogging, etc. of my work as it became somewhat of a challenge for me to keep up with. Since then a lot has changed in the blogging world...people are now adding videos to their blogs, mobile blogging, tweeting, etc. Wow!! I'd really like to get into blogging on a regular basis again but boy do I have a lot to learn, whew.
One thing I have most definitely missed during my "blogging break" is communicating with many friends from around the world with whom I share such an enjoyable hobby with. And, that is exactly what excites me the most as I sit here thinking about it!! So, my only request as a new mom of 2 is a hall pass, ha. Please be patient and know that I'm going to make a conscious effort to post here regularly again (even if it is only every few weeks or so). And perhaps I'll even add in some non-stamping/crafty stuff too.
Stay tuned for some Stamping Royalty 2011 prize package goodness! In the meantime, this mama of a newborn is off to get some much needed shut-eye. Here is a recent picture of my babies and the reason for my long, long absence:
