My 1st Triathlon

Yep, you read that right! I'm training for my very 1st triathlon next month. It is called "My First Tri" and it is considered a sprint triathlon...200 meter swim, 8 mile bike, and 2.5 mile run. My dear friend and roommate from college is going to do it also! We're busy getting ourselves ready and in shape for it. At first I thought it was a ridicolous idea - going from just having a baby to doing a triathlon. But, it's actually been really good for me and a great incentive to lose this baby weight! I have been training 6 days a week and it's been kicking my butt.

Anyhow, I decided to make my friend a card for motivation. Her favorite Stampin' Up color is Ruby Red so that's why I chose these colors. I used Beate's weekend sketch challenge and I'm also going to use it for Stamp Something's First Somethings challenge (make something with a "first" theme). I figured this card would be perfect ;)

Ink: Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip

Accessories: River Rock Double Stitched ribbon, Vintage Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Piercer, Coluzzle

I sure hope she likes this card and finds it motivating in her triathlon training sessions :)
