Happy (early) Turkey Day!

It looks like I'm working backwards through the holidays this year...first Christmas, now Thanksgiving ;) Here is a card that I made for Thursday's SCS Ways to Use It Challenge. It was to make a Halloween card or an Autumn card, if you're not a Halloween person. So, this I went with a Thanksgiving card and this is what I came up with...

I started with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Chocolate Chip base and I used a 1/4" smaller piece of Real Rust stamped in Real Rust with Linen Background. For the image, I used Stem Silhouettes and stamped the image off once with Chocolate Chip ink and repeated it with Real Rust ink. I stamped on Very Vanilla card stock and I used 1/4" larger layers of Mellow Moss (sponged in Mellow Moss ink to make it look darker) and Chocolate Chip underneath. The 'Happy Thanksgiving' saying is from the Holidays & Wishes stamp set and is stamped in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla card stock. It is also layered on a small piece of Chocolate Chip. The corners were all punched with the ticket corner punch and I used Vintage Brads in each of the outer corners. I finished the card off with Jersey Ribbon Originals and Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware tied with a Mellow Moss Grosgrain ribbon.

I will most likely be having our first baby or will have just had it on Thanksgiving Day this year. I am due a couple days before on Nov 20...I hope I still get to eat turkey and all the fixins!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by :)
