Wild About You!

I really did challenge myself by attempting today's SCS Try a New Technique Challenge. I guess with my pregnancy brain, I couldn't quite grasp the concept but eventually I figured it out :)

Stamps: Wild About You, Sweet Sampler, Weathered Background

Card Stock: Pumpkin Pie, Ballet Blue, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Glossy White

Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Ballet Blue (for sponging edges), Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Versamark

Accessories: So Saffron Brads, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Staples, Cutter Kit (to rough edges)

For the lion image, I used the Emboss Resist technique. Because I wanted him to be in So Saffron, I first brayered the Glossy White piece in So Saffron. Then, once it dried I stamped the Wild About You lion in Versamark and used Clear Embossing Powder and the Heating Tool to emboss him.

For the polka dots, I used the Versamark Resist technique. I waited until the lion dried and stamped the polka dots from Sweet Sampler in Versamark. As soon as that dried, I brayered over the entire piece with Chocolate Chip ink and voila!

Stephanie, I love this sweet lion and what you did with it. Great card!
